Summer is almost here! Make the most of your summer by getting some theatre training in! We have several fantastic online and in-person options for busy educators, students and theatre enthusiast alike looking to work on their craft yet enough all the fun that summer has to offer!

Plus most of our classes are offered live for FREE!! For an additional fee you can access recordings of all the classes, supplemental materials (readings, worksheets, etc), a dedicated message board community to talk about the topics in the course, and a 30 min 1:1 with the instructor to talk about your programs/specific questions. Attitudes about the stories that are told on stage and who tells them are changing. Now more then ever its important to understand how race, ethnicity and gender factor into the casting process and how to select shows that are inclusive of your full student body rather than exclusive. While this may seem like a daunting (and potentially limiting) concept to embrace it is crucial to understand the ways in which storytelling is changing- for several reasons including avoiding legal action- and in the end will ensure you can be confident in your show selection and casting decisions.

Getting clear on the why behind your show is the most important thing for your program. Struggle to find new audition material that’s interesting, relatable and not overdone? Need some tools to quickly prepare audition material? Stressed over what to wear to an audition or in your headshot? Need a new headshot?

We’ve got you covered! In this complete audition prep workshop you’ll not only have access to dozens of new songs and monologues, but you’ll be given time in group settings and 1:1 to work on your newly selected material. We’re changing up the traditional audition prep workshop game and addition three exciting additions, including bringing in a stylist to work with you to understand how to best dress for your auditions, a headshot session with Mandi A Photography and a mock audition with live feedback from some Seattle artists who frequently sit on the other side of the table! So spend this time this summer getting ready to knock next years audition out of the park with us! The course will be taught in-person at A Moment’s Focus Photography Studio in Greenlake, Seattle, and simultaneously broadcast online.
